O.K. this has nothing to do with art or design, but this year marks the end of my first decade of pack burro racing.
I was very fortunate to meet the legendary Micah True, aka Caballo Blanco, subject of the book "Born to Run" written by Christopher McDougall. Unfortunately for Micah, his burro didn't want to participate so his day won't be as memorable for him as it will be for those of us who had the pleasure to meet him. He is a very gregarious and engaging person and quite honestly, he felt like a natural burro racer. Sure, it gets competitive out there and everyone wants to win. But when it comes down to it, starting is more important than finishing, and in pack burro racing, finishing is never a given.
